| PNG Ports committed to improving Customer Service and Safety PNG Ports Corporation Limited (PNGPCL) is committed to improving its customer service and safety at its ports throughout the country. This has been proven through the installation of the GPRS Cordless ETPOS machine at all ports as payments either via pre-authorised cheque or ETPOS will only be accepted due to safety and security reasons. PNGPCL Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Brian Riches said customer service and safety is of paramount importance to the Corporation. He said stakeholders, clients and the general public should be fully utilising the EFTPOS services provided to them for business transaction purposes. “PNG Ports Corporation would like to advise its stakeholders, clients and the general public that EFTPOS, direct deposit and pre-authorised cheques will be the only forms of payments accepted by all its ports throughout the country as we will not be handling cash at our port offices for safety and security reasons,” he said. Mr. Riches said the approach taken by PNG Ports Management is in the best interest of customers’ utilising the services provided by the Corporation. PNG Ports Corporation has rolled out the arrangements to all its ports including Port Moresby, Lae, Madang, Wewak, Vanimo, Rabaul, Kimbe, Kavieng, Alotau and Poponedtta Port Offices.For more information, please contact: | |||
