PNG Ports awarded Good Corporate Citizen Award
PNG Ports Corporation Limited (PNGPCL) is a proud winner of the inaugural “Good Corporate Citizen” Award by the Papua New Guinea Department of Labour and Industrial Relations.

The Department of Labour and Industrial Relations awarded PNGPCL together with other organisations recently with a Certificate of Recognition and a plaque which will be delivered at a later date.

Chief Executive Officer of PNGPCL, Mr. Brian Riches was the proud recipient of the award on behalf of the Corporation.

Mr. Riches said that “the award pays off many months of hard work and commitment since 2008 as PNG Ports Corporation continues its change agenda.”

“I wish to acknowledge all my staff and the consultants who have made this possible over the years under my leadership as CEO,” Mr. Riches said.

“PNG Ports Corporation Limited was awarded the certificate in recognition of the excellent contribution to the recruiting and training of Papua New Guinean workers, compliance with the Employment of Non-Citizens Act 2007 and Immigration Laws and the practice of sound employment,” he quoted as per the certificate.

Meanwhile, Ms. Evangeline Taunao of the Independent Public Business Corporation (IPBC) has congratulated Mr. Riches and staff.

“Congratulations to you and your team on achieving this award. PNG Ports is indeed making its contribution to the development of this Nation through its capacity building efforts within the organisation,” she said.
